Dr. Ahmed Salem, DDS, MBA, MClinDen, DICOI
Dr. Salem is the CEO, founder and owner of Kids Smile Dental & Orthodontics, Elk Grove Kids dentist & orthodontics, Wackford Dental , and Woodland kids Dentistry & orthodontics, Dr. Salem graduated in 1997 and is dedicated to advanced post-doctoral study. He has accumulated hundreds of hours of advanced professional education, including two and a half years of Orthodontic training with the United States Dental Institute (USDI).
Dr. Salem is a diplomat member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI); he has extensive training in oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and dental implants.
In 2009, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. In 2013, he received his Master of Clinical Dentistry degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics from the Dental Institute of King’s College London, in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Salem currently resides in Elk Grove City with his wife and four children. He enjoys running, swimming, and traveling in his free time.
Dr. Yvonne Salman, DDS
Born in Thailand and raised in many countries including Thailand, Switzerland and Iraq where she Graduated from Baghdad University of
Dentistry in 2006 then moved to Amman,Jordan where she practiced dentistry. Determined to follow her dreams, she came to America and proceeded to receive her D.D.S Degree from University De La Salle,Mexico.At a young age, Dr. Salman knew she wanted to become a dentist, growing up with braces herself and learning about the proper oral care, motivated her to choose this profession to work with children to raise oral care awareness at young age.
She received the International Reward in Public Speaking for Infection Control from Mexico Dr. Salman enjoys working with children and strives to make their dentist visit a fun experience for them. She speaks four languages: English, French,Arabic and Spanish. When she is not working she likes to spend time with friends, working out and traveling.
Dr. Roula Zeki, DDS
Originally from Atlanta, Dr. Roula Zeki received her D.D.S. Degree from Universidad De La Salle Bajio in Mexico. She is trilingual; fluent in English, Arabic, and Spanish. In her spare time, Dr Zeki enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, exploring new cuisines, and jogging. She belongs in pediatric dentistry because her longtime inspiration was her pediatric dentist back in the days. Her passion for dentistry strives to empower her patients to be as passionate about their oral health as she is.
Dr. Zeki is a strong believer that one's only influence is not in the past nor in the future, but only in the present moment.
Dr. Sami , DDS
Dr. Sami was born and raised in Egypt. Before becoming a dentist, he wanted to be a Pilot. That changed when he got the nickname "Teeth Fixer" by his teammates. He repositioned a teammates' tooth when it got dislocated while playing water-polo. That then motivated him to become a dentist. He graduated in 2005 from Misr University for Science and Technology and after moving to the United States, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2015 from the University of DeLaSalle and license exam from the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Sami is a member of Sacramento District Dental Society, California Dental Association and American Dental Association. His goal is to make children enjoy going to the dentist by providing an unforgettable experience. He believes it is important to educate kids at an early stage, and parents on the importance of oral health.
When Dr. Sami is not in the office, he likes to spend time with his wife and 3 boys. They make his life so full and energetic. He enjoys swimming, and loves soccer. He is fluent in Arabic and English but also speaks Spanish.
Dr. Michael Guess
Orthodontist
Dr. Guess earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCSF. He was offered a post-doctoral orthodontic residency position at the Ohio State of University. During his tenure at the Ohio State of University he was awarded two Master's Degrees. He earned a Master of Science in Dentistry and Master of Arts in Educational Administration and also was awarded his certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Guess has done extensive research in the field of Dentistry and specialty of Orthodontics. His research findings have been published in several journals such as Dentistry Today, Journal of Dental Research, Orthodontics Review, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, the Japanese Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, and Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Guess is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Academy of General Dentists, Pacific Society of Orthodontists, California State Society of Orthodontists, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society. He has taught continuing education courses at University of California, Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has lectured at Harvard University and to the California Dental Association. He has also lectured in Beijing and Shanghai, China and done volunteer dentistry in Israel for children.

Dr. Hany Basta

With over 20 years of experience working with children and adults to promote healthy dental habits, Dr. Hany Basta has been a noted member of Kids Smile Dental and Orthodontics.
He currently runs the office located at Yuba city, offering a wide variety of services to his patients. His focus is on teaching children healthy dental habits which will carry them to their adult lives allowing them to be proud of their future smiles.
Dr.Basta’s passion for dentistry started when he was a teen where he used to visit his Dad’s dental office. He used to see patients especially kids, feared to go to the dentist.
He wanted to make the visit more patient friendly and comfortable. This is when he decided to join dental school.
He graduated in 1998 from Cairo University, Egypt..He finished his residency and started working as a general dentist. He started his own dental practice serving his local community.
A new chapter in Dr.Basta’s career was moving to the United states. He completed his Postgraduate studies, training and licensing exams to become a Board certified dentist. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association.
Dr.Basta is keen to stay up to date with the latest technology through continuous training and seminars that he actively participates in. He continuously strives to offer quality care for his patients and to fulfil his dream by making the trip to the dentist office fun rather than fear and anxiety.
Dr. Mina Foaud

Dr. Mina Fouad sees every person no matter the age, children or adults, as someone who he can learn something from. He listens to children with full attention and believes that they could be great teachers for adults. He also loves their humor and you can expect him to share a good laugh with his pediatric patients.
He has always been a "maker". He loves building, creating, and designing artistic sculptures and clay objects. This is what drew him to this line of work and an aspect of his work which he really loves. When faced with a
difficult or complicated case, you can expect him to carefully craft and execute a solution when treating a patient.
Dr. Mina loves to spend time with his family. After living in the East Coast for ten years, he recently moved to Elk Grove with his family. He adores his two daughters and loves playing PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, or watching a Spanish or English League Football game with them. When available he appreciates some downtime where he spends time reading about philosophy and science. Besides his patience, ability to connect with children, and his ways to make every child's dental visit fun, Dr. Mina is always up to date with the latest techniques to deliver best care to children.
He graduated in 2005 from Alexandria University and completed his Postgraduate Program at University De La Salle, Mexico. Dr. Mina is also a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association.

I was born and raised in India. After completing B.D.S. (Bachelor in Dental Surgery) in India, I moved to the United States with my family. I pursued D.D.S from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. While studying dentistry, I had the opportunity to do an internship in pediatric dentistry, which was a very enriching experience. I grew up in a small village in India. I used to accompany my grandmother to a distant city for her dental appointments. Seeing my grandmother go from no teeth at all to a full mouth of teeth was no less than a fairy tale for me at that age. That's why dentistry is called "ART and SCIENCE". It motivated me to pursue a career in dentistry.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Joaquin Dental Society and Punjabi Dental Society. During my spare time, I love to cook, travel and spend time with my family.
