I was born and raised in Playa Del Rey, California. I left Southern California for my undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. During this time I went on a dental mission trip to the Galapagos Islands and discovered my passion for dentistry. I soon returned to study dentistry at the University of Southern California and earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During my time at USC, I was able to learn all aspects of dentistry. I especially loved working at the USC mobile clinic with kids. Children's dentistry has been my passion ever since.
In my spare time I love to travel, play soccer and volleyball, watch sports and spend time with my wife and son. We travel to Brazil every year and I speak fluent Portuguese. I aim to provide the highest quality care to all of my patients.

As the office manager here at Kids Smile, I welcome all our patients and their parents, schedule appointments, coordinate insurance and treatment plans, and make sure the office runs smoothly and efficiently. An important part of that is creating a fun, easy going atmosphere where our patients feel comfortable and safe. I love getting to know our young patients and seeing them grow up to be young adults with beautiful, healthy teeth.
My husband, Rigo, and I have a young son and a pet dog. I love my family, so much of my free time is spent playing with my son, taking walks, bike riding, and going to the movies together.
As one of the first people to meet our patients, I am sure to have a smile ready as I schedule appointments and verify and submit insurance claims. It’s a great feeling to know I work in a place that makes children smile, even if they’re a little afraid at the beginning. By the end of their appointment, they’re almost always smiling and laughing! Everyone here on our team strives to give each patient the very best experience possible.
It is my responsibility to ensure all insurances are verified before your visit. I always try my best to provide excellent customer service and make sure your wait time in the lobby area is less as possible. One of my other key responsibilities is to present patient treatment plans and answer all of my patients questions regarding financial information as thoroughly as I can. The best part about my job is being able to meet and talk with patients and their families and getting to know each and everyone of them. It is very rewarding to see patients and their parents leave the office with a smile on their face! In my spare time I love spending time with my family.
Your wonderful experience with Kids Smile Dental starts with hearing my voice! Yes, really! As one of the scheduling coordinators it is my responsibility to call and confirm all patient appointments. Some of my essential duties for the day are: overseeing all patient paperwork, booking and confirming appointments and all clerical work. I welcome all of our patients to our office with a smile and strive to provide the best experience you and your child have ever had at a dental office. When not in the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I provide your best possible experience! I ensure the quality of you and your child’s experience here at Kids Smile Dental and Orthodontics by checking insurance, scheduling your appointments, answering your calls and questions and hoping to do what we do best, make you smile.
Lead Dental Assistant
I have been a dental assistant since 2004 and have thoroughly enjoyed working in the field ever since. While making sure all patients are comfortable and assisting chair side with the doctors, I also make sure the back office is running smoothly. It is a pleasure to see all patients in the office, the best part for me is when the little ones remember my name! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my kids and wonderful husband.
Registered Dental Assistant and Orthodontic Assistant
I assist at the side of Dr. Salem during most of our patients’ procedures. It is my goal to make sure each child is comfortable and has a great dental experience. I love laughing with our patients; it’s a lot of fun to work in a place where I’m surrounded by smiles all day! Because each little smile is special to me, I make sure to take the time to answer any questions our patient or parents may have. At home, I have a wonderful daughter named Jaelyn, and a dog named Bo. I enjoy spending my free time taking long walks on the beach, playing Legos with my daughter, and just having fun.
